The Jefferson Park community encompasses three appealing neighborhoods: Jefferson Park, Indian Woods, and Gladstone Park.

A. Jefferson Park

The namesake neighborhood is predominantly middle-class.

Chicago Public School teachers and staff, Chicago Police Department, Chicago Fire Department, and Cook County Sheriff officers and staff live here.

The neighborhood boundaries are Austin Ave, Chicago River, Railway, Elston Ave, Foster Ave, Edens Expy, Cicero Ave, Montrose Ave, Narraganset Ave, Nagle Ave, Bryn Mawr Ave, Northwest Hwy, and Milwaukee Ave.

The freeway and public transportation are both close by, making getting downtown a breeze.

B. Indian Woods 

Indian Woods is located on Ardmore Street, just south of Central Avenue. The neighborhood boundaries are Indian Road, Central Avenue, and Ardmore Avenue.

Originally part of the Forest Glen Community, Indian Woods is also covered partly by the South Edgebrook Neighborhood.

Indian Woods hosts 5 public schools rated good and higher by GreatSchools.

C. Gladstone Park

Gladstone Park is a neighborhood in the northern section of the Jefferson Park community.

It is at the center of the intersection of Northwest Highway and Central, Milwaukee, and Foster Avenues.

The Kennedy Expressway runs nearby as well and has an entrance from Foster Avenue.

Gladstone Park also has a stop along the Union Pacific/Northwest (UP-NW) commuter rail line.  

Its unique Dutch Colonial style homes have attracted many people to move into the area.

And families love the public school system, with Gladstone Park hosting 7 public schools rated good and higher by GreatSchools.

The Jefferson Park community is very safe with many friendly neighbors. So far, there are only a few records of murder, robbery, and assault in the neighborhood. The police are very visible and very responsive to residents' concerns.
